"When my husband passed away, I lived alone for some time and thought I was doing just fine. My family came to visit me one day and noticed I had missed many doses of my medication and I was losing weight because I occasionally forgot to eat. They suggested we start looking for an assisted living home. I could not believe what I was hearing. How could my own children do this to me?
We visited many locations in our area, but could not find anything appropriate to my fixed income. One day we visited Manteno Springs and although they offered everything I needed and the price was affordable, I was concerned because it was some distance from my home and my children.
The day I moved in I was frightened and mad and decided I would never adjust to living this way, but in no time, the staff became my extended family. My children assured me they could visit every Sunday just like they did when I was living in my own home. I have never regretted moving into Manteno Springs. It has been my home and I have loved every minute of it."
